Reflexology is a complimentary therapy that involves stimulating specific areas of the feet that correspond to a particular body part. The entire body is mapped out on the feet as reflexes and the stimulation of the reflex on the foot is thought to send messages via the nervous system to that specific area of the body, to bring about positive change and restore balance in that body system or organ.
Reflexology benefits the body as it causes it to enter a deep state of relaxation, allowing the body to rest, repair and respond to the stimulation of the reflexes, whilst helping to boost your overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Whilst some people will feel the positive effects of reflexology after just one session, we would usually recommend an initial series of treatments to get the most benefit.
